Welcome! I’m Kay, and if you’ve ever spent your Sunday night hunched over a laptop trying to build a lesson plan from scratch, I created this site for you.
As an English educator, I know the unique challenges we face: the need for high-quality, engaging materials, the pressure of limited prep time, and the struggle to find resources that actually work in a real-world classroom. I have taught English to secondary and college students for over 15 years. Currently, I’m in South-East Asia teaching English to these wonderful Asian students.
What started as a personal collection of my most effective teaching materials has grown into EnglishTeacherKay.net—a dedicated hub for teachers looking to bring clarity and creativity to their classrooms without the burnout.
Why I Built the Teacher Kay Faculty Lounge?
For years, I’ve shared my resources for free, supported by ads. However, as our community grew, I heard one thing from teachers over and over: “I love the content, but I need it to be more accessible.”
